Surely if you watched the news coverage yesterday you so all those idiot reporters standing on the beach, down there in New Orleans,
"Hey Bob, it's really wendy down here!"
No shit shurlock!
I just don't get it, I sometimes think they would go stand inside a burning house if someone would let them, Just to tell us it's hot!
ahaha! Good point. I always wondered that too. They think they're telling us something.
Wouldn't it have been great if all the people who live in the areas affected by the hurricane had gotten out safely and all the reporters had been washed away?
Disaters make good television people not caught up in the hurricane, enjoy sitting in their comfortable intact homes watching others fleeing from a nasty storm...it's a type of morbid fascination with those in trouble and a feeling of poor feckers pass me another ale here's too you all ect...I'm bloody glad its no us eh?
Well sometimes they do state the obvious but it's great that reporters are everywhere where there is interesting news and the coverage now is better than ever before.
Yes you can sit in the comfort of your home and watch people struggle, is voyuerism, now your new hobby.
Depending on my mood sometimes I think reporters go out into the storm just for the story and ratings. On the other hand I think they risk their lives to keep the public alert on the situation at bay. This gives the victims loved ones who live far, far away from the hurricane in other states that the hurricane hit, no power, no running water, water is rising, food is low....... It keeps those who are desperatly waiting for answers, the best possible answers at the momment.
